Darauf also zielt die gegenwärtige Disciplin abIch verstehe unter Μέθοδος, das ich mit Disziplin übersetze, so wie ich es im ersten Satze des Kapitels mit Lehre übersetzt habe, nicht die hier von Aristoteles gelieferte wissenschaftliche Entwickelung, schon darum nicht, weil es sich nach meinem Gefühle unbescheiden ausnehmen würde, wenn Aristoteles sagte, er wolle mit seiner Arbeit Völkern und Staaten zu ihrem wahren Wohle verhelfen.
